Big Church Auction Report

We really raised the bar following our Big Church Auction held on Friday 2^nd October.  Over £8,000 was raised at this fabulous evening.  Over 170 people flooded into the Village Hall and with nearly 70 Lots and 25 Silent Auction Lots available to bid for we knew we were in for an exciting night.

Times have moved on since our last Auction 22years ago and we were able to take card payments and view the auction catalogue on line – how times have changed! Cheese and wine etc were available all night, as were teas and coffees so everyone was kept happy whilst our wonderful Auctioneer, Graham Ellis of Stanfords of Colchester, kept the crowds trying to outbid each other.  The generosity of everyone was overwhelming!

Our amazing raffle of 24 festive hampers raised over £1,000 by itself and it was drawn in stages throughout the evening.  It was great to see the Church and Community coming together for such a brilliant family fundraiser.

Our massive thanks go to everyone who donated promises, helped out on the night, supported and encouraged us and gave us sponsorship in many ways.
