 Netweather

You can see the forecast for the next two days by going to the Diary page

This is a church of great historical interest and has at its heart the Christian faith. The history of the church runs in parallel with that of St. Osyth Priory. A guide to the building and a brief history of the church is available on this website and in the church should you choose to visit us.

We welcome worshippers and visitors to our church from the local community, the UK and the world.

We hope that you will find the information you need on this website. It includes details of our services, a diary, our activities and past events. If you cannot find what you are looking for then please do make contact with us by clicking on the CONTACTS button above. Better still, if you and your family and friends are able to visit us, you will find a very warm welcome awaits you.

We look forward to seeing you.

We are currently in an Interregnum, i.e. a period without a Vicar.

We are very glad to confirm that the Revd Sharon Miles, currently Rector, Rivenhall and Silver End, Essex has accepted the offer of the post of Priest in Charge of this Parish.
This appointment is subject to the satisfactory completion of all necessary legal processes.
We are looking forward to the Licensing service on 25th November.

Sonia Grantham and Yrina Morgan Kendall , Churchwardens

Until Rev. Sharon has been installed we continue to be blessed with Rev Tony Pugsley and Rev Heather Connell to look after us.

To read either Rev Tony's Twitters or Rev Heather's Hints as published in the Parish magazine on alternate months, simply click on the Parish Magazine button at the top of this page.

WAR MEMORIAL APPEAL

The War memorial erected in front of our Church in 1920 was damaged in 1999 and we are currently raising money to completely replace it. It will be rebuilt in exactly the same design as the original but with a shorter 10 foot shaft for the cross and in Portland stone. We have already raised over £8,500 towards the replacement cost of £11, 136 so we need another £2,500.

PLEASE CAN YOU HELP?

If you would like to make a donation this can be sent to Mrs Sonia Grantham at St. Clere's Hall Farm, St. Clere's Hall Lane, CO16 8RX. Cheques should be made payable to "St. Osyth Church".

THANK YOU
