Baptisms
are
held regularly, normally at noon on Sundays.
During
baptism, the vicar pours water over the head of the person being
baptised, a symbol of being made clean from sin and given a
fresh start in God's family. The sign of the cross is marked
on their forehead with the water, like an invisible badge to
show they belong to Christ.
Our
15th century font is a very special monument and has carved
shields with emblems appropriate to St.Osyth.
